Intonara v0.2.3

Continuous pitch. Continuous time. Familiar sequencing.

Intonara is a composition environment for musicians who want the speed of a sequencer without inheriting every old piano-roll assumption underneath it.

Pitch stored in exact HzIndependent tempo and meter rangesCustom tuning as a first-class editor feature

Built for the real wedge

Not “a DAW that accidentally has a tuning menu.” A sequencer-shaped environment built around continuous sound-space from the start.

Pitch

Drag freely, type exact Hz, or snap to your own tuning.

Rhythm

Quantize by beat, tuplet, milliseconds, or arbitrary range divisions.

Tempo

Change BPM anywhere without waiting for a barline to grant permission.

Tuning

Use repeating, variable, or freeform pitch sets directly in the editor.

Positioning

Familiar enough to use. Different enough to matter.

Intonara keeps the things musicians already rely on — a timeline, note blocks, transport, zoom, selection, snapping, quantization, and export — while replacing the assumptions beneath them. Pitch is not trapped inside fixed semitones. Time is not owned by bar boundaries. Tuning is not a plugin-era apology.

Continuous Pitch

Hz is the source of truth.

Enter exact frequencies, use a western helper overlay when useful, and switch between snapping and free placement without changing the project model.

Tempo / Meter

Separate layers, not a single prison.

Tempo density and beat grouping can change independently across any time range, with arbitrary subdivision beyond the usual dead-end ceilings.

Tuning Engine

Guide lanes when you want them.

Work in 12-TET, 24-TET, just intonation, variable octaves, or freeform pitch collections without abandoning a readable sequencer workflow.

For the right audience

Built for composers who are tired of fighting the tool.

The point is not maximal novelty for its own sake. The point is to make advanced pitch and rhythm control feel native, legible, and fast enough to stay musical. Intonara is for people who hear intervals, timing, and tuning relationships that ordinary DAW defaults keep flattening.

  • Microtonal and xenharmonic composers who need more than piano-roll compromise
  • Rhythm-forward writers working with polymeter, tuplets, and tempo-fluid phrasing
  • Experimental producers who still want sequencing speed, not a research UI
  • Serious music nerds who want more control without inheriting plugin-routing nonsense

One codebase

Use it on the web or run the same editor on desktop.

Intonara ships as a web-first product surface with a cross-platform desktop wrapper for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Same core editor, same project model, same tuning and timing engine.

Built by Halo Media Solutions, Inc., a software studio focused on practical creative tools for serious media workflows.
